Every client’s goals, habits and needs are different, every client’s program will be different. Every body can benefit from the the knowledge, guidance, support and accountability that a Health Coach can provide because the experience is tailored to you, and starts where you are.

What exactly is a Health Coach?
A Health Coach guides individuals through healthy, sustainable food and lifestyle changes that enable them to look and feel their best with ease. Through consistent weekly sessions, clients receive guidance, support, information and customized resources to help them discover their own best strategies and successfully implement new behaviors which, eventually over time, feel “automatic”. In this way, making specific changes typically feels ‘easier’ than most clients anticipate, and they start feeling better more quickly than they thought they would… with changes they can actually stick to.
So is it like a Nutritionist?
A Health Coach is not a Nutritionist. While a nutritionist provides dietary guidelines and support, a Health Coach integrates dietary change as part of a larger approach. Why? Because food is only one piece of a larger picture of a “Healthy You”.
Movement, relaxation, stress, relationships and love are also part of what we discuss as they relate to your overall well-being. You WILL learn healthy eating habits, but I do not write a specific diet/eating plan for you, have any sort of weigh in, or focus exclusively on your dieting issues. Eating is one component of your overall wellness. An important one, but not the only one, regardless of how much weight you want to lose.

How can you help me with hormonal imbalance?
Hormone balance is dependent on many things- physical changes or decline in hormone production, as well as other aspects of our physiology that profoundly affect our ability to create, convert and utilize hormones. My coaching approach combines overall health with patient empowerment to give my clients the tools and incremental steps they need to determine what’s happening, and address it holistically. My training with Robin Arutt of Full Potential Living® has also given me specific skills, resources and tools to help my clients become empowered in specific areas such as having effective and confident conversations with doctors, getting more comprehensive lab testing, and a 6-Pillar system that, alongside more effective medical care, will help your body to optimize hormone production, conversion and utilization. Many women are surprised how much they can do themselves, when they have the right information and guidance, to optimize hormone balance!
How long are your coaching programs? Why can’t I sign up session by session?
I do not offer single sessions or “one session at a time” coaching programs. The work we do together forms a unique and trusted bond-- we move together through the process, to assure that you have the utmost support every step of the way. You’re never stuck, lost or on your own when I am your coach. This is why one session at a time is not effective. Our sessions are not about “advice”. (I will NEVER give you a “do’s” and “don’ts” list and send you on your way! If only that worked, right?) The profound changes you experience in your life may last a lifetime, but they won’t kick in overnight. Coaching is about getting you from where you are to where you want to be. You are responsible for implementing the steps we create for you, but having a standing weekly appointment with your coach means knowing you are fully guided every step of the way. You can ask questions, get help, move at your own pace, get over obstacles, celebrate the progress, and love the journey en route to the destination.
How do I know if we will work well together?
Great question! The client-coach relationship is based on rapport and trust. Of course, that’s critical. I want you to feel comfortable and confident in our work together from the very start. That is why I offer a free, 50 minute phone session so you can “meet” me, we can discuss your needs in more detail, and you can ask any questions you wish. During this Discovery Session, you’ll get a sense of my style, and I’ll be able to determine if I am the best fit for you. There is absolutely no pressure. If you are feeling ready to start, we’ll determine which program best meets your needs and discuss details.
